Looking to adopt

My friend Rachel and her husband Ryan are looking to adopt and I thought I would help them spread the word. I met Rachel my freshman year at BYU. We lived across the hall from each other in the dorms and we were in the same Freshman Academy group together which means that we had several classes together our first semester.

Rachel is one of the most dedicated people I have ever met and would make an amazing mother. She is fun, very personable and kind to everyone she meets.

36 Weeks

My sisters have been asking for a photo recently so here it is... at 36 weeks.

So far he's doing good. He moves around constantly, but I really like to feel him moving around so much. I start once-a-week appointments this week. I am pretty shocked at how close it is! We still have so much to do!!

Christmas 2010

We spent Christmas this year with Shawn's family. His sister, brother-in-law and their four kids came up from St. George to spend the Holiday.

On Christmas Eve we went to his sister's house in Salt Lake where we had a really fun party. Santa even took a few minutes on his busy night to stop by.

Christmas Eve we stayed at his parent's house so that we could wake up with Shawn's nieces and nephews early Christmas morning. We put our stockings with theirs at the bottom of the fireplace so that Santa would know just where to find them.

My sister gave Shawn an Ohio State snuggie. It was one of his favorite gifts ever. He wears it every day.

Halloween

Thought I would post a picture of my Halloween costume. I won crowd favorite at our work costume contest. It was a fun costume to make and to wear.

Parents

A friend of mine from work lost his mom today. It was a completely unexpected death and as put it, "20 years soon."

Seeing his tragedy made me think that we all need to tell our parents that we love them every chance we get. Never let a phone call end without saying it, call them up to tell them or even just write them a nice note occasionally on their Facebook pages.
