Anyways, I was number 26. So what they did was they had all of the 1,000 wristband holders show up on Friday and they drew a random number that would be the first person in line, and the line went from there based on your number. Yeah, they drew 652. I close to the middle of the line. Then they said if you are anywhere from 200 to 651, go home because you won't get tickets. It was insanity. So a bunch of people went home. Then they came out and said that if you weren't one of the top 250 in line, you won't get tickets. We stayed anyways, and waited it out. We waited for 3 hours after they started selling tickets (one hour before). Meanwhile, many of my friends from work left. We ended up being 3 of the last 5 people who got tickets! I bought 12, and I am selling every last one of them.
This is us waiting in line... Jeremy (HR director), Amie (Metro Editor), Doug (Asst. Features Editor), Jeremy (reporter) and a lady from advertising that I don't know her name.
This is when they came out and said they only had 1,000 tickets left. See how close I was!
This picture was taken by one of the photographers from work for the paper. I thought it explained the day perfectly.....madness.http://www.heraldextra.com/content/view/261463/17/
