....is the due date of our first baby. I am 13 weeks along and we are both really excited.
We went and heard the heartbeat today. It was a really cool experience. It kind of gives validation that there is actually something in there and that we aren't crazy. Shawn was surprised how fast the heartbeat was.
So far, the pregnancy has been good. I haven't been very sick aside from the occasional nausea. I am hungry all the time, but very few things actually sound good. I went for a while when Subway sandwiches were the only thing that sounded good and then for a while it was french fries and celery. It's kind of weird how it changes day to day.
The photo at the top is how we told our family. Shawn walked into his parents house wearing his shirt and I sent this picture to my family members. It was pretty fun to see their surprise!

Fun with my sister
My sister, brother-in-law and their three kids were in town this last weekend. Jason was interviewing for jobs in Salt Lake!! Hopefully they will move this way :)
Friday night we went to P.F. Chang's. It's Stephanie's favorite place and we go there every time she comes to town. Then we went swimming a their hotel. It was so fun to swim with the neice and nephews. Sadly, I didn't get any photos of it.
Saturday we went to the Thanksgiving Point Petting Zoo. It was really funny to see how excited the kids got when they saw the animals. Logan's 2 and he would run so fast to the animals. Carson and Abby (8 and 6) had tons of fun feeding the animals. (Sorry there are so many, I am posting all of our photos so that my sister can pull them down for her scrapbook.)
Saturday night we went to Chuck-E-Cheese's (Shawn's Choice). The highlight of the night for me was when I used like 25 tokens to try to hit the 50 tickets hole on this one game. I decided to give up, but shawn wanted to try once. He made me blow on the token for good luck and he put it in and hit the 50 tickets hole on the first time! It was hilarious.
That night Stephanie and I went to scrapbook club and surprised the group who didn't know that she was in town. Click here to see what we worked on.

26
I had a really fun birthday this weekend. Shawn filled the day with fun stuff and by the time the day was over, I was so exhausted. We had a blast though.
We went to Red Lobster for lunch. It is my favorite restaurant and I usually only go twice a year, once for my birthday and once for our anniversary. It was yummy.
After Red Lobster, Shawn took me bowling. I beat him by 20 points on our first game, but on the second game he came back and beat me by 1 point. I haven't been bowling in years and it was fun to do it again.
We planned on going to a movie after bowling, but we still had 2 hours before it was supposed to start. So we decided to go play a round of mini-golf at Trafalga. They have really fun blacklight mini-golf. Had a blast and I beat Shawn bad. :)
After mini-golf we went to the movies and saw Date Night. It was ok. If you haven't seen it, wait to rent it.
Then we went to Shawn's parent's house where we had Cold Stone ice cream cake that Shawn got for me. It was A-MAZ-ING. It was cake batter flavored ice cream with Red Velvet cake. YUMMY!
We were sitting outside after we had cake and we decided to play a little basketball with Shawn's parents. It was so fun.

Redhead
I got my hair done tonight. I decided I wanted a change, so I dyed it red and got blonde highlights. It's way different and fun. I love it.

Our Weekend
Shawn and I had a pretty busy weekend. I worked in the yard Saturday for most of the day. We started the morning burning our pile of weeds that I have collected from the yard in the past several weeks.
When we finished that, I kept working in the yard while Shawn went to the BYU open practice with his friend John. He came home so excited for the team next year. According to Shawn, we are going to "ROCK IT" next year. :)
Sunday we went to his parents for lunch and then came home and took a name. I worked on some projects yesterday afternoon. Click here to see my projects.
Last night Shawn started having a stomachache. I had been asleep for about an hour when i heard him getting up over and over again. He spent most of the night throwing up. Neither one of us got much sleep. He felt really terrible when I left for work this morning but finally got some sleep. He missed work and school today which he was pretty upset about, but hopefully he will be back to normal tomorrow.

Shawn's upcoming jobs
Shawn started his new field placement today for school. He will be doing training this week for it and then will start full-time there in May (after his malpractice insurance kicks in). He is working at the Utah State Hospital in Provo and is very excited to be there.
He will be working there until August when he will start his second-year field placement with the VA Hospital in Salt Lake. That field placement will last through next April when he will graduate. He was very excited to be placed in the homeless outreach program with the VA. Hopefully it will be a meaningful placement for him and for those he will be helping.
I have to say how proud of him I am. He is working so hard at school and is really doing something he is passionate about.
