Christmas Party

So Shawn and I went to my work Christmas party last night at the ballroom at UVSC. It was pretty fun. Rich and I worked on a blooper reel of our TV show that we showed last night. I laugh every time I see it. So Shawn also had a final last night so he left in the middle to go take his final, and he still made it back before the end. We had a really good prime rib dinner, and had some good entertainment and got our picture taken by the Daily Herald Photographers. We also won a door prize. We got a waffle maker that makes heart shaped waffles. Not exactly the TV, iPod, portable DVD player or some of the other stuff, but I was so excited just to win something.

More Snow!

So it's light outside now, and I thought I would post some more pictures of the snow we got last night (and are still getting now, though not as hard).

There is about 8 inches out there right now.

SNOW DAY!!!!

So I woke up this morning, and knew I had a busy day. I left the house and went to a Christmas party, where Shawn was the Santa Claus. It as for Lindon Care and Training Center where Shawn's mom works. They are a care facility for those with developmental disabilities. There was a really funny moment. I sat down next to one of the residents who was so excited to go sit on Santa's lap that she could hardly sit down in her chair. I asked her what she was going to ask Santa for, and she said, "A Beer and some Smokes." I couldn't stop laughing. It was hilarious!

Then we went to lunch with Shawn's parents which was really fun. Then at 2, we had Shawn's work party at the Seminary building. We were there for just over an hour, and when we came out, there was snow EVERYWHERE!!! We were on our way back to Shawn's parents, which is like 2 miles from the Seminary building, and we got stuck in the snow going up the hill. We got out, and then drove the long way home so that we wouldn't have to go uphill at all. It took us 45 minutes to get back to his parents house. It is still snowing here, and so we decided just to sleep here tonight and go back to Springville in the morning, so that we don't have to drive in it. I hate driving in the snow, and wouldn't you know that Shawn and I both have our cars up here because Shawn had early class this morning and just came up straight after that. So we are just chilling out with the in-laws, and we are going to watch Christmas movies tonight. It should be fun. But I do have to say that the snow is absolutely gorgeous out there. It was a little dark when I took the pictures, but they are still pretty.

Anyways, remember when you were little and used to sit by the radio, hoping that they cancelled school for a snow day. I loved those days. They were the best. No worries, just fun in the snow, and a mom that always made chilli.

Ok, so you have to look at the amount of snow piled on the arm of the chair. That is how much it snowed today, and notice it is still snowing.

Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband

My friend Jeannette and I went to the Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband concert Thursday at UVSC. It was pretty fun. Peter Breinholt also played. It was their Christmas Concert, so they mostly played Christmas songs, and was good to get in the Christmas spirit.

Moving

So, having never really moved before (I moved when I was way little, and when I was coming out to college) I never really realized what a stressful situation it really is. We couldn't have done it without the help of Brad and Natalie, Brian and Annie, Darrin and Shawn's parents.

At this point, we are mostly moved in. There are still a few boxes to unpack, and a few things still in Lindon, but we are mostly finished. I am hoping to finish by the weekend, if it all possible.

We are having fun though, and it's been a wonderful opportunity to get all of our stuff organized.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Shawn and I are leaving this afternoon to Montana for Thanksgiving. It will be fun because all of my brothers and sisters will be there, and we haven't been together since February. We are flying back on Saturday morning, just in time to make if back for the BYU/Utah game!

Anyways, we still haven't moved. It should be ready for us tomorrow, which is really nice since we will be out of town for the rest of the week. Oh well, we will probably start moving after the game on Saturday.

Well, I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving, and that your turkey tastes amazing!
